Maternity Leave. Time out for moms

I haven’t posted anything new in a long time. Mostly because I’ve been busy with my postpartum doula practice,moving to a new side of town in Los Angeles and raising my sweet little boy.

However.. I also haven’t posted anything new because I’ve been in development on something really exciting. It’s been a dream of mine to host a podcast. Take everything I love about holistic health coaching and working in the birth world and blend them together in a format that I feel really comfortable in. Talking and interviewing people :)

Today is the day! I’m very pleased (and proud) to share with all of you the very first episode of Maternity Leave. My new bi-monthly podcast!

Maternity Leave is time out for moms: time to swap stories, time to ask questions, time to share wisdom and knowledge. Dayva Savio (postpartum doula, health coach and LMT) hosts conversations with mothers, fathers, midwives, doulas and a range of birth professionals about the issues that matter at this most pivotal time of life

Today on the podcast we’re talking about something near and dear to my heart. Sleep. Getting good quality rest after the birth of a baby is crucial to our health as well as being good parents. Funny though,the first thing to go out the window after we become moms is rest and sleep.

I hope you enjoy this first episode as much as I enjoyed making it. There are plenty more coming your way as I talk to amazing people working in such an incredible field.
